Unified Musical Vision

Love em, hate em, or wish, they stuck with "aNYway" -- it's hard to deny the video for "Barbara Streisand"

On the Off-Chance you are not one of the 10 million+ people that has seen it, it features the following guests

-?uestlove
-Chromeo
-Kanye West
-Pharrell
-DJ Premier
-Vampire Weekend?
-Diplo?
-SantiGold?
-Biz Markie?
-One of the Actresses from "Devil Wears Prada?" (at 1:39)
-Dude playing the keyboard (looks real solid... who is that?)

It also reformulates the song into a proposition regarding the vitality of NYC for artistic culture and dance music culture.

Most notably, Dance music influences and Hip Hop influences all play an equal role, and seem to implicitly understand the crazy message of the piece, or at least the Barbara Streisand aspect (which I still dont 100% sure about myself).

If we sent a 2010 Time Capsule to sweetass aliens, this would be a decent pick for something on it. The biggest and youngest city (1.8 million between 20 and 30 years olf) in the worlds largest and strangest superpower nation. It would give them an idea about where the young earthlings are spending their money and time -- and an overall positive assessment of youth culture in America, which could be a difficult message to communicate otherwise.
