if we rewrite history 
to imagine that 
there was a historical record 
of slavery, lynching, 
segregation, incarceration, 
officer-related shootings, 
gerrymandering and redlining, 
stop-and-frisking, 
and culture-stealing
that affected ALL 
denominations, occupations,
cultures, colors and communities 
evenly ...

...then maybe you would have an "ALM" movement

but until then, 
that particular 
response will be 
just another means
of taking the microphone 
away, silencing 
vulnerable brown voices, 
stifling their 
resistance against 
a war on their children's future,
masquerading as a "war on drugs"
